Wendell Seaborne wears many hats: entrepreneur, professor, retired executive, and community leader. He is the founding proprietor of Seaborne Leadership, a firm specializing in developing leadership skills in executives and boards, implementing change initiatives, strengthening teams of all stripes and not-for-profit governance. He also enjoys engagements as a public speaker on a host of topics. Besides his consulting work, Dr. Seaborne also serves as an Associate Professor of Management at Anderson University where he works with undergraduate, masters and doctoral students. He also serves the Falls School of Business as the Austin/Cooper Endowed Professor in Global Studies. He retired very early from Duke Energy, where he served 17 roles in 10 locations over 27 years, to follow his own passion for helping others. As a community leader, he has over 200 years combined service on not-for-profit boards and committees, with 14 years as presiding officer of various boards. He has been recognized for this service by Governors in Indiana and Kentucky with appointments as a Distinguished Hoosier and Kentucky Colonel.
Dr. Seaborne helps others gain a greater understanding of his or her abilities and natural tendencies, helping them create the means to accomplish individual and corporate goals. He believes strongly that passion and purpose drive persons toward the success they desire, and helps others come to that point as well.
Dr. Seaborne earned his A.B. in Political Science from Indiana University-Bloomington, his MBA in Finance from Anderson University and his Ph. D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach. In addition to his education, Seaborne is a member of Mensa and enjoys the intellectual stimulation of discussions with other leaders.
